SoftWave Therapy is a treatment involving SoftWave Tissue Regeneration Technology that applies short, frequent, and high intensity bursts of mechanical energy (in the form of a shock wave) into soft-tissue that is injured, scarred, contains adhesions, is painful, or inflamed. The procedure averages 10-15 minutes but may take longer, depending on the treatment area and diagnosis. A gel is applied to the surface area to be treated. The applicator produces pulses as the clinician moves around the treatment area. During therapy, communication with the provider is necessary to identify treatment areas and monitor progress.

You should follow your provider’s instructions, which may include avoiding ice and anti‑inflammatory pain medications such as ibuprofen or naproxen (NSAIDs) for 24 hours.  

Most people can return to normal daily activities within 24–48 hours after treatment. Light activity is encouraged as long as pain stays mild. Avoid high‑impact or strenuous exercise for about 1–2 weeks, then gradually increase activity based on how your body feels. If an activity causes lingering pain or soreness the next day, scale back and progress more slowly.
